Khawlah’s Warriors – Muslim Women’s Basketball

Khawlah's Warriors is a vibrant, women-led Muslim basketball program delivered in partnership with support from Moving Moi CIC, Communities Keeping Well, and other local partners. Our focus is on creating safe, empowering, and inclusive spaces for Muslim women to stay active, build confidence, and thrive through sports.

What the programme offers

Khawlah's Warriors offers a women's basketball program that removes common barriers to participation by providing culturally sensitive, women-only basketball sessions in a supportive and welcoming environment. Whether participants are beginners, returning to sport, or looking to sharpen their skills, this program is designed specifically for Muslim women in sports.

Why this partnership matters

Through this collaboration, Moving Moi CIC acts as the nurture organisation, providing governance, safeguarding, insurance, and organisational support to ensure that Khawlah's Warriors, our women's basketball program, is delivered safely, professionally, and sustainably. 


The project is proudly supported through community funding and local health partnerships, reinforcing our shared commitment to: 


- Improving physical and mental wellbeing 

- Increasing participation among under-represented Muslim women in sports 

- Strengthening local community connections 

- Creating positive role models through sport

Session details

Programme period: January – May 2026


Khawlah's Warriors offers a fantastic opportunity for girls aged 11 to 16 years to participate in our women's basketball program.

📅 Fridays | ⏰ 5:00 – 6:00 PM


For women aged 16 and over, we invite you to join us for our Muslim women sports sessions.

📅 Fridays | ⏰ 6:00 – 7:30 PM

Who it’s for

Khawlah's Warriors is open to Muslim girls and women of all abilities, including those who are beginners and returners to sport. Our women's basketball program provides a safe, women-only sporting environment for anyone seeking to move, grow, and belong.
